Hi Ellen, that’s not ideal at all because they will be cold and you will have to reheat them and probably overcook them. It’s best to fry the same day. They fry up really fast. Happy cooking!

Hi Harriet, Yes, you can try this recipe with chicken also! I would add more seasonings to the chicken and some black pepper too. Follow our instructions on how to velvet chicken and don’t forget to watch the video!

If you have access to a very well stocked Mexican grocery you might just luck out and find a lactose free condensed milk. Very hard to find, though, even here not far from the Mexican border.

My husband doesn’t eat seafood of any kind, so I miss out on a lot of homemade dishes. Do you think this could be made with chicken? And why do so many restaurants use breaded shrimp? Frozen restaurant supply?

My wife & I did this one together. I couldn’t have done it without her as we are both new to this kind of cooking. Fabulous is all that has to be said. I truly love the recipes that you share. This one was my fourth one to try and we are getting better every time!

Hi, using sour cream could result in a more tangy and sour sauce. That said, you can try adding less and add honey or more sugar as you suggest.
